Mark Benyon Group Managing Director for the Aidapt Group of Companies, has announced the appointment of Mark Nightingale to the position of Adaptations Manager.
Mark said, “Mark originally joined the company in November 2003 as an Adaptations Assistance and has progressed his career ever since, most recently being the Senior Contracts' Surveyor. This latest management appointment for Mark makes way for more opportunities to develop the adaptations business within London and the Home Counties.”
Mark can be contacted at Aidapt on 01689 800 820.
There will be an article on the recent Aidapt purchase and plans for the future in the February issue of The Homecare Industry Information Service (Thiis) magazine.
Ken Mulley has today announced the sale of the entire share capital for Aidapt Group to Electrovision Ltd for an undisclosed sum of money. Ken explained that Electrovision Ltd is a privately owned company based in St Helens, Lancashire that manufactures and distributes a broad range of electrical product designed mainly for electrical wholesalers and the entertainment industry.
Ken then added there could not have been a better purchaser for Aidapt; Electrovision Ltd is a forward thinking, visionary, entrepreneurial business with Mark Benyon as its Chair. Ken then added, with Electrovision also being a private company it can function and operate well outside the constraints so often experienced with PLC's or venture capital acquisitions.
Mark Benyon then went on to explain the current structure of the existing organisation: Electrovision Ltd operates from a 14.5 acre site with more than 110,000 square feet of distribution space with a further 110,000 square feet planned for development in the very near future. In addition to its St Helens Headquarters, Electrovision Ltd also operates and controls its wholly owned manufacturing base in Shenzhen, South China which offers tremendous scope for the future development of the Aidapt group. The group also has its own buying office located in Hong Kong. Electrovision Ltd also owns Altai Europe Ltd which operates from wholly owned premises based in Paris and Amsterdam these being the perfect distribution points for the remainder of Europe.
Electrovision Ltd also brings in existing, tried and trusted delivery systems to a dealer network. This includes direct privileged access to the stock and guaranteed next day delivery with before 12-noon option and a 2-day service into Mainland Europe. Furthermore, the company also can offer a home delivery service on behalf of dealer network both in the UK and Europe; all of these systems will be integrated into Aidapt.
We asked Mark about the future of the offices and warehouse based at Croydon and Aidapt Wales Ltd the manufacturing base of Aidapt. Mark was very quick to explain that this acquisition is about the rapid development and growth of all operations. The Croydon office and warehouse will adopt the improved delivery systems and its penetration into the bona fide dealer market as well as the existing local government and NHS base. The Adaptations department will also in due cause, be expanded further into the Home Counties. Aidapt Wales Ltd will also continue to produce its existing products but it will also be encouraged to develop a whole raft of new UK based high value product. The Wigan warehouse will eventually be integrated into the St Helens operation.
We then asked Mark Benyon what about the present staff at Aidapt. Mark added that the larger group of Electrovision and Aidapt could offer a great deal of opportunity for staff improvement and opportunity to all concerned also as previously stated, this acquisition is about growth. Mark then formerly announced the appointment of Trevor Lynch, former National Sales Manager for Aidapt to the position of Director and onto the board of the Aidapt group of companies.
Mark added that Ken would remain active within Aidapt as a consultant working towards the integration of the massive range of new products presently being developed by Aidapt both in the UK and the Far East. Terry Winter, Director and Company Secretary for Aidapt will also remain as a consultant for the immediate future.
Our offices and warehouses will close on Monday 24th December 2007 and will re-open at 9am on Wednesday 2nd January 2008. The last day for deliveries will be the 24th December.
